Again, frankly, I think that Lissa would be a "few fries short of a happy meal" to come back to this site again! I give Lissa a lot more credit for intelligence that you do apparently, Donna Sue.

I don't think (nor have I checked) if she has left any pearls on this site. I think the re-opening of this site, which I only view as temporary, is a great opportunity for people whose only copy of what they wrote is here...

Although I doubt if there is anything, politically, religiously or any other-wise thing, that Lissa and I have EVER agreed on, or are likely to agree on in the future...I think inviting her to participate in political discussions here is at the very least disingenuous.

Family, photography, reading, writing, crochet, travel--I've been up to the small and grand things of life, particularly the grandchildren. Now it's time to start gardening--well, actually it's just a wee bit past time. Politically, I'm relatively happy. And politically, I shall attempt to leave it at that.

I've been blogging, doing lots of photography, making altered books & collages, painting recycled items, sewing my own clothes, growing my hair long, gardening in egg cartons, reading the Tao--the Qur'an--the Bible--and Freud and Carl Jung and tons of poetry and other people's blogs around the world---making friends in India, Boston, Canada and Australia without ever leaving my house.

I've been journaling, singing in the shower, crying in the shower and discovering new musicians. (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds reincarnated as Grinderman are my newest heart throbs---Nick Cave is a poet's poet who just happens to sing the blues....Check out his song, "I Call Upon the Author to Explain" on YouTube).

I've been writing poems, reorganizing my life and way of thinking, redefining the meaning of pain, listening to rain, reading Tarot cards, watching Jane Austen movies, painting clay pots for Summer, learning hundreds of ways to save money and having fun doing it.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Oh, and watching dragonflies, who recently returned to my wildly blooming yard!!!!

So much has happened and yet its like time stood still. Its been a long cold winter and I still missed Pearlsoup. Its like losing an old friend. I am so happy its back, I can't stand still in my own skin..
